Our favourite button-up Mohair and Silk hand knitted vest pattern. 

Knitted with Sesia Eiffel mohair & silk yarn, this vest is so incredibly soft to wear. It's also a great trans-seasonal wardrobe staple that can take you through all the seasons depending on how you layer it. 

This is an intermediate pattern and includes sizes XS(S,M,L,XXL) au/uk sizing.

Materials Required

  • 4mm (US 6) straight knitting needles (30 cm / 12 in)
  • 6mm (US 10) straight knitting needles (30 cm / 12 in)
  • 7 x 15mm / 0.6 in buttons
  • 6 (6, 6, 7, 8) balls Sesia Eiffel, 12 ply silk mohair (75m / 82 yd per ball)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Yarn snips
  • Matching thread + hand sewing needle
  • Measuring tape

Gauge

15 sts x 21 rows = 10 cm / 4" in stocking stitch on 6 mm (US 10) needles

Skill Level

Long tail cast-on, knitting flat, knit, purl, stocking stitch, bind off, mattress stitch, left and right-leaning decreases, and yarn-over buttonholes.
